Record reveals that after filing of the writ petition, none has turned up to represent the writ petitioner. Today also, none appears to represent the writ petitioner though Ms. Ray, learned advocate appearing for the respondents, is present.

Ms. Ray submits that with the passage of time, this writ petition has become infructuous.

In the affidavit portion of the writ petitioner, which was affirmed in 2007, the petitioner mentioned his age as 54 years. So, it is obvious that with the passage of time, the writ petitioner has already retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. In view thereof, the writ petition, which virtually has become infructuous with the passage of time, is disposed of without any order.
