Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the petitioner and the State.

Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He submits that he is in custody for about 522 days.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the deceased shows that the petitioner had assaulted him. In view of the aforesaid fact prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

However, trial court is directed to conclude the trial with utmost expedition and conclude the same at an early

date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
