Abdul Aziz Mondal ... For the De Facto Complainant Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down on earlier occasions on merits. The petitioner renews her prayer for bail. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for almost three years and only 3 out of 28 witnesses have been examined so far.

Learned counsels for the State and the de facto complainant oppose the prayer.

On merits the petitioner does not deserve a favourable order at this stage. Vulnerable witnesses are yet to be examined. Chances of the witnesses being influenced/intimidated in the event of the bail being granted to the petitioner cannot be ruled out.

In view of the above, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
