Leave is granted to the learned advocate for the petitioner to correct the cause title so far as the court is concerned.
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the present case being AC Case No. 489 of 2010 is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Alipore for more than 13 years and presently date has been fixed for examination of OPW-2.
The case is under the provisions of Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Having considered the factum that more than 13 years have passed since the initiation of the case and the lady and her child have been attending the court for more than a decade, I direct that on and from the next date so fixed that is 10.05.2024, the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Alipore would take efforts so that judgement in connection with AC Case No. 489 of 2010 can be pronounced by 30.11.2024. Under no circumstances, the time line should be allowed to be stretched and the learned Magistrate would be at liberty to fix as many dates he wishes prior to 30.11.2024.
With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 721 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
