The petitioner seeks return of his title deeds as, according to the petitioner, the loan amount has been completely liquidated. A representation dated November 17, 2023 (Annexure P2, p.68) has been filed by the petitioner in this regard and the same is alleged to be kept pending before ICICI Bank.

As it appears that the prayer of the petitioner for release of his title deeds is pending consideration before the bank, accordingly, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The writ petition is thus disposed of by directing the sixth respondent - Deputy Manager, ICICI Bank, Kolkata - to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with the prevailing Rules at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of

this order.

If it appears that the loan amount has been paid off and that there is no impediment on the part of the bank to release the title deeds, the necessary consequential steps shall be taken.

In the event prayer of the petitioner cannot be accepted by the bank, then the reasons therefor shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith. 6.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

7.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
