Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner is in custody for less than a year. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. Material available in the case diary prima facie suggests that the petitioner manually strangulated his wife to death.

Considering the material available on record connecting the petitioner to the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
