1. Pursuant to the direction issued on 18.04.2024, compliance report has been filed by the Sub-Inspector of Schools, Joynagar Circle/CLRC, South 24-Parganas. The report is as follows: "Memo No.Joy/22/449 Dated:07.05.2024 From: The Sub-Inspector of Schools (P.E.) Joynagar Circle South 24-Parganas.

To: The Learned State Advocate, Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.

Sub: Submission of Compliance report in the matter of WPA(P) No.83 /2024 Chandan Kumar Haldar & Ors. -VS- State of West Bengal & Ors.

Ref-Solemn order, dated-18/04/2024, passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of Calcutta High Court.

Sir, In reference to the above noted subject matter, I would like to inform you that the petitioners, Chandan Kumar Haldar & Ors filed a writ petition bearing W.P.A.(P) No.83 of 2024 and in respect of the aforesaid writ petition I do hereby submit the compliance report with request to place the same before the Hon'ble High Court.

1. The toilets have been constructed with pan fixing the anti-skid ceramic tiles, and have replaced the plastic taps with brass taps, also providing decent bucket with mug. (Photo Enclosed)

2. A submersible pump has been set up for drinking water of school children and for the purpose of cooking of mid-day meal of the school and the running water in toilet has been completed.

3. A submersible pump with numerous tapes which are easy for the small school children to use.

4. A septic tank has also been set up.

This is for your kind information and humble submission before the Hon'ble High Court in appropriate manner.

2. The learned advocate for the petitioners suggests that the area around the submersible pump and the area leading to the toilet can be cemented so that the mud and sand do not get near the tube well or into the toilet area.

3. This suggestion appears to be reasonable and the Sub-Inspector of Schools shall also implement the same.

4. With the above observation, this petition stands disposed of.
