The only prayer of the writ petitioner, whose father died in harness and was serving as a Group 'D' employee in the Bangabasi Evening College, is for a direction on the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal being respondent no.2 to consider and dispose of the communication dated 29th October, 2021 with reference to granting appointment to the petitioner on compassionate basis.

The Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal, being respondent no.2, is accordingly directed to consider and dispose of the communications given by the concerned College as well as the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date after hearing all concerned parties including the petitioner. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from which such order is passed.

W.P.A.4236 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
