The petitioner seeks a new electricity connection which has been refused by the CESC Limited on the ground of apprehended splitting of load.

The petitioner approached the Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO), allegedly on January 5, 2024 as it appears from annexure-P4 at page 13 of the writ petition.

Since the GRO is the concerned authority under the Regulations to decide such issues, WPA 4624 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the concerned GRO, that is, the respondent no.3 to decide on the complaint of the petitioner as annexed at page-13 of the writ petition in accordance with law upon giving opportunity of hearing to all concerned as expeditiously as possible, positively within six

weeks from the date of the communication of this order to the respondent no.3.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
