Petitioners are directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Manoranjan Mahata, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course. The grievance of the petitioners is that the case was initiated in the year 2012. There are seven witnesses relied upon and out of them two of the accused persons are aged.

Having regard to the fact that 11 years ago the present case was initiated and charge has not yet been framed, I direct the learned trial court to fix at least one date in a week so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

Needless to state that if the learned court decides to frame charge, then the learned court would on the next date overcome the stage of framing of charges or within a week from the said date. Thereafter, the learned trial court will proceed with the schedule as

stated above and take all efforts to conclude the trial preferably within a period of one year from the next date so fixed. In case any witness do not appear for 2/3 dates the learned court would close the evidence of such witness concerned.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 661 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
