C.O. No.2228 of 2023 is detagged. C.O. No.588 of 2023 is a proceeding for expeditious disposal of the suit and is taken up separately.

Re : C.O. No.588 of 2023 Mr. Chowdhury, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the landlord submits that the suit must be expedited. It is submitted that a commissioner has been appointed for local inspection. Commissioner's report is awaited. Issues have been framed and the next date has been fixed for the report and also for evidence.

Considering the stage of the suit, this Court is of the view that the Ejectment Suit No.14 of 2017, which is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), 1st Court at Sealdah, South 24-Parganas, should be disposed of within a period of six months from the next date fixed, independently and strictly in accordance with law, upon granting adequate opportunity to the parties to contest the same. Unnecessary adjournments shall not be granted to any of the parties. This Court has not gone into the merits of the suit. The revisional application is, thus, disposed of. There will be, however, no order as to costs. Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
