Petitioners are the parents-in-law and married sisterin-law who have been arraigned in a proceeding under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. The learned Judicial Magistrate, 10th Court, Alipore has issued notice.

Having regard to the contentions so advanced on behalf of the petitioners, I am of the opinion that the remedies so sought for be first canvassed before the appellate forum by exhausting the provisions of Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 733 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
