The present writ petition has been preferred alleging inaction on the part of the concerned respondent in not considering the petitioner's representation dated 4.2.2022. 2.

Mr.

Biswas, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for grant of license to run a restaurant cum bar.

Upon receipt of such application from the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted and upon enquiry, the inspecting team recommended the proposal for grant of such license in favour of the petitioner. However, ultimately the license has not been granted in his favour and no decision has been taken on the application submitted by the petitioner. 4.

Mr. Deb Roy, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that with the passage of time the present writ petition has become infructuous.

He submits that the petitioner's application for grant of such license was rejected and the order of rejection was communicated to the petitioner under a memo vide no.

129/E dated 24.2.2020 issued by the Additional District Magistrate (G) Nadia which is taken on record.

6. Copy of the document has been handed over to Mr. Biswas.

In view of the subsequent development, I am not inclined to interfere with the present writ petition and the same is, accordingly, dismissed.

8. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

9. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order rejecting his application for grant of license, if so advised, before the appropriate forum in accordance with law. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
