The advocate on record, Mr. Joyjeev Medhi submits that in view of events subsequent to filing of the present appeal, namely the retirement of the appellant, the issue pending for consideration regarding his transfer in service has become infructuous. The submission is made on the basis of instructions received from the appellant.

In view of such submission, the pendency of the appeal would serve no useful purpose. The same has become infructuous and is accordingly dismissed as infructuous.
