No. 29 CHC REJECTED C.R.M.(DB) 776 of 2023 In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Sonamukhi Police Station Case No. 154 of 2015 dated 07.10.2015 under Sections 147/148/149/325/326/302/379 of the Indian Penal Code and added Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Earlier, a direction was passed for the purpose of expeditious disposal of the trial.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioners that, the Investigating Officer was not appearing before the trial court and therefore, the trial got adjourned.

It appears from the report of the police, filed in Court which be kept with the record that, the petitioners applied for adjournment on January 2, 2023 and that, the next date fixed is March 6, 2023.

Petitioners themselves took adjournment at the trial.

There is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection. C.R.M.(DB) 776 of 2023 is rejected.
