1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record.

2. In spite of service, none appears on behalf of the school authorities.

3. The petitioner has served as an Assistant Teacher at Mansinghaberh Banishree Vidyaniketan, Purba Medinipur, since 2010. An application seeking transfer made by the petitioner has been pending with the concerned District Inspector of Schools since 2022.

4. However, as it now transpires and as submitted by Mr. Chowdhury, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, the vacancies for which the petitioner had opted is presently not available. Hence, the application for transfer made by the petitioner has become redundant.

5. In view of the afore-stated circumstances, the petitioner is granted liberty to make a fresh application to the school authority in the prescribed format.

6. The school authority shall deal with such application and, if the petitioner is found otherwise eligible, shall forward the same to the concerned District Inspector of Schools within a period of four weeks from the date of the making the application.

7. The suspension of the 'Utsashree Portal' will not be an impediment for the authorities, including the school, to consider the application of the petitioner, which shall be made in an offline mode.

8. With the afore-stated directions, the writ-petition is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

9. All parties including the school authority will act on a server copy of this order.
