The petitioner complains that the private respondent is threatening her. It is submitted that the private respondent owns a piece of land and is desirous of effecting construction. He cannot do so in view of the petitioner's plot being located in front of his property.

On the basis of the complaint of the petitioner, the Chinsurah Police has made inquiry in this regard. The police found that the allegations of the petitioner have not been substantiated.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions issued by the Inspector-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the State also produced a letter of settlement dated 2nd March 2020 between the petitioner and the private respondent.

This Court does not express any opinion on the civil dispute between the petitioner and the private respondent.

However, the Inspector-in-Charge, Chinsurah Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
