We are shown a letter dated 29th July, 2021 from the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal to the Secretary, Delhi Public School, North Kolkata, stating that since a public interest litigation is pending in

this court, the government would only be in a position to entertain an application for "no objection certificate -cumcertificate of recognition" for the school with a changed name from 'Delhi Public School' to 'G.D. Goenka Public School', if appropriate leave is granted by this court.

We dispose of this writ application and the connected application for modification (CAN 4 of 2021) by granting such leave. We make it absolutely clear that we have not gone into any dispute between the parties with regard to the administration of the school or the proper authority to conduct the school and so on.

We also allow the application (CAN 3 of 2021) for addition of party.

The other connected applications (CAN 1 of 2021 and CAN 2 of 2021) are also disposed of. The department is directed to carry out the necessary amendment within 2 weeks from date. ( I. P. Mukerji,J. ) ( Aniruddha Roy,J. )
