1. In this PIL the petitioner prayed that the registered deed of conveyance for the property in question is bad in law and, therefore, a CBI enquiry be directed to be conducted.

2. On 4th August, 2025, the learned counsel for the respondent nos.5 and 6 made a statement before the court which was recorded that grievance of the petitioner no more subsists as the subject plot is re-conveyed to the society.

3. A report to this effect is filed by the said respondents dated 18.08.2025. Paragraphs 5 and 6 of this report reads thus:

"5. From the bare perusal of the statements/submissions and prayers of the Writ Petition it will be evident that the Writ Petitioner is aggrieved against the execution

of a Deed of Conveyance dated 13.05.2022, being Deed no.160405086 for the year 2022, in respect of a plot being no.B-13, under the Survey Park Cooperative Housing Society Limited, Kolkata, by the Cooperative society in favor of Respondent no.7.

6. It is stated that vide Deed of Conveyance dated 13.03.2024 being Deed no.160304615 for the year 2024, the respondent no.7, has re-conveyed the aid plot being no.B-13, under the Survey Park Cooperative Housing Society Limited, Kolkata, in favor of Survey Park Cooperative Housing Society Limited."

4. Thus, there is no doubt that the property stood re-conveyed and, therefore, we find no reason to keep this PIL pending.

5. So far the question of committing the criminal offence and holding CBI enquiry etc. is concerned, if the petitioner feels that there was any breach of criminal law, he will be at liberty to avail the remedy under the criminal law.

6. With the aforesaid observations, this PIL is disposed of.
