Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Debjani Sahu, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of Kakdwip Police Station Case No. 77 of 2021 dated 12.03.2021. Charge-sheet has already been filed before the jurisdictional court and the records reflect that a direction was passed upon the de facto complainant and his witness to appear for adducing evidence on 20.10.2022. However, thereafter because of diverse reasons, the case could not proceed. Having regard to the same, I direct the learned trial court to fix at least one date in a month for the purposes of the present case so that there is progress in the case and the same can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

The learned trial court would seek assistance of the police authorities if any witness is reluctant to appear. The police authorities particularly, the Inspector-in-Charge of the

concerned police station will submit a compliance report, if the witnesses are unwilling to appear before the court. The learned Magistrate will see that no unnecessary adjournment is granted to any of the parties. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 683 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
