Petitioner prays for bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 306 days. The Police filed charge sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required.

The case diary contains CCTV footage to suggest that the petitioner and the victim were last seen together. On the leading statement made by the petitioner, the murder weapon, bloodstain garments of the petitioner and the plastic bottle from which the petitioner and the victim drank liquor were seized by the police.

Considering the extent of complicity of the petitioner in the incident of murder as appearing from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (DB) 787 of 2023 is dismissed.
