This is an application for extension of time to surrender before the court below and to pray for regular bail in terms of our order dated April 12, 2021.

The petitioner has relied upon a resolution of the Bolpur Bar Association dated April 30, 2021 that due to pandemic situation the members of the Association would not participate in any form of judicial works from May 1, 2021 to May 20, 2021. No explanation has been offered by the petitioner for not approaching the trial court before May 1, 2021. We are not satisfied with the reasons proffered by the petitioner for extension of time to surrender before the court below.
