Since the prayer made in the writ petition rather innocuous, the writ petition is considered for disposal. The petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that the respondent Executive Engineer, Urban Development Department, Salt Lake, Construction Division, has not paid balance amount for civil work at the 8th Floor of Subhanna Building for new office place accommodation of Panchayat & Rural Development Department, excluding furniture and electrical works at Plot No. DF-09, Bidhannagar, Kolkata - 700 064. Special Engineer, Salt Lake Reclamation & Development Circle vide a communication dated 13th December, 2021, has addressed a request for placement of funds to the Special Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development.

There is no response from the Special Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development.

In that view of the matter, the Special Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development shall consider release of funds and the entitlement of the writ petitioners in the light of the recommendations made by the Special Engineer, Salt Lake Reclamation & Development and take a decision on payment to be made to the writ petitioners. It is expected that the decision shall be taken in the matter within a period of two months from date. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
