1. This revisional application seeks expeditious disposal of an application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (hereafter the said 'Act of 1955') filed in MAT Suit No.1196 of 2021 pending before the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court No.3, Barrackpore, North 24-Parganas.

2. In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed, prior service of copy of this application along with a notice on the opposite party is not being directed but the petitioner shall remain obliged to serve a copy of the application along with a copy of this order upon the opposite party within a week from date.

3. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that during long pendency of the application under Section 24 of the said Act of 1955, certain subsequent events took place, which were required to be brought on record and therefore, the petitioner has made another

application seeking amendment of the said application under Order 6 Rule 17. Both the aforesaid applications are pending.

4. Having heard the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner and having perused the material on record, this revisional application is disposed of by requesting the learned Trial Court to endeavour to dispose of the application under Order 6 Rule 17 filed for amendment of the application under Section 24 of the said Act of 1955 as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one month from next date fixed. Thereafter, the learned Trial Court shall also endeavor to dispose of the application under Section 24 of the said Act of 1955 as early as possible and preferably within a period of three months from the date of disposal of the application for amendment without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

5. CO 701 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
