Statements of the witnesses show that the petitioner had tortured the victim/housewife who was compelled to commit suicide owing to such torture within one year of marriage. In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail is, accordingly, rejected.
