The petitioner seeks interest on account of delayed payment of the benefit under ROPA, 2009. The benefit of ROPA 2009 was given effect to long back. The petitioner has approached this Court in the year 2024 seeking relief. There has been inordinate unexplained delay in filing the writ petition. The Court is not inclined to grant relief as prayed for. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
