Mr. Rudradipta Nandy ...for the State Petitioners before us are the in-laws of the defactocomplainant. The defacto-complainant recorded a statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. implicating the in-laws including the petitioners before us and her husband, in physically and mentally torturing her.

The case diary contains materials with regard to the pregnancy of the defacto-complainant. There is a suggestion of termination of such pregnancy also.

Police complaint was lodged within two years of marriage. Husband and the defacto-complainant is yet to participate in the investigation.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners and the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
