The ld. Trial court being ld. JM, 2nd Court, Barrackpore has framed charges under sections 465/468/471 of the IPC and section 12 of the Passports Act. The said report also reflects that the next date has been fixed on 12th of November, 2024 for evidence. The ld. Trial court is directed to fix a schedule consisting of one date in a month on and from November, 2024.
It has been informed that the prosecution in order to prove its case has relied upon six witnesses. The ld. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Airport Division, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate will ensure that all the witnesses are made available on the date so fixed by the ld. JM, 2nd Court, Barrackpore. All efforts be taken to conclude the trial at the earliest. Ld. Public Prosecutor will produce the materials, exhibits and documents on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned.
The ld.
JM, 2nd Court, Barrackpore would immediately communicate with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Airport Division, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate so far as the present case relating to NSCBI Airport Police Station Case No. 76 of 2017 dt. 29.8.2017 is concerned, in case, any witness who have been fixed on a particular date is absent on the said date.
All stakeholders will cooperate with the ld. Trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.
With the aforesaid observations, CRR 745 of 2024 is disposed of.
Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
