Copies of documents pertaining to service of notice, as filed by the petitioners appearing in person, are taken on record. It does not appear that notices could be served upon all the concerned authorities.

This is an application filed by the parents of a candidate in the NEET PG 2024 challenging denial of Rural Quota benefit. It is very strange indeed that the candidate has not approached this Court, but her parents have. It does not even appear that any authorization was given by the candidate to the present petitioners to move this application.

It is submitted by the petitioners appearing in person that the candidate is actually working as a doctor in a hospital. Thus, there is no justifiable reason for the candidate not to have approached this Court herself if she wished to seek any relief.

As such, I do not find any reason to entertain such application moved by the parents of the doctor/candidate. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of without any further order, even as to costs.

However, the candidate shall be at liberty to file an application seeking similar relief on the self-same grounds. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
