Heard the parties.

The petitioner seeks a fresh electricity connection at the subject premises.

Advocate for the CESC Ltd. is represented and submits that this is a case of splitting of load and the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy. In view of the statutory alternative remedy available, I am not inclined to entertain this petition. WPA 5225 of 2021 is dismissed on the ground of the petitioner having an alternative remedy.

The petitioner is granted liberty to make a representation before the Ombudsman in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from date.

If such representation is made the Ombudsman is directed to dispose of the same within a period of four weeks thereafter after affording a right of hearing to all the affected parties.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 5225 of 2021 stands disposed of.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
