Prayer for bail is renewed by way of this application. Prayer for bail was rejected on November 24, 2022. There is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection. There are materials in the case diary suggesting that the petitioner was seen dragging the victim with a rope tied round with his neck.

The post-mortem report suggests that the victim died by strangulation.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (DB) 789 of 2023 is dismissed.
