The State of West Bengal Mr. Aniket Mitra .. for the petitioner Since the petitioners seek expeditious disposal of GR Case No.2144 of 2021 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 5th Court, Serampore, Hooghly, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

This court is informed that charge has been framed on 27th September, 2022 and out of six charge-sheeted witnesses the first witness is being examined.

In view of the above, the learned trial court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within eight months from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

CRR 922 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.
