Mr. Nayak, learned counsel appearing for the Cooperative Election Commission, is requested to appear on behalf of the added respondent. A copy of the writ petition has been served upon Mr. Nayak.

Mr. Sengupta, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the delegated election of the Society is long overdue. He further submits that the Society has been functioning under a nominated Board for the past three years, and that the delegate election should be held without further delay.

Mr. Biswas, learned counsel for respondents Nos. 6 and 7, does not dispute the fact that the election of the Society has been overdue for more than three years. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Election Commission of the West Bengal Cooperative Societies to hold the election of the Society within a period of three months from the date of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 4634 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
