REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 655 of 2024 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Islampur Police Station Case No. 658 of 2023 dated 01.09.2023 under Sections 341/307/379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 25/27 and 35 of the Arms Act, 1959.

...... petitioners Mr. Bimal Sil ...for the petitioners Mr. Jaydeep Biswas ...for the State Number of persons suffered injuries in an incident of assault. Some suffered gun shot injuries. Injured implicates all the petitioners in the incident of assault. Petitioner no. 2 was seen using the firearms amongst other persons. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners and the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
