In terms of order dated 24th March, 2026 a communication dated 7th April, 2026 of Inspectorin-Charge of Lake Town Police Station, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, is filed today and same is taken on record. Copy of same is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioners.

It is disclosed in said communication dated 7th April, 2026 that there is business relationship between the petitioners and private respondents and dispute cropped up with regard to payment of money. It is also disclosed that no cognizable offence was found on enquiry made by the concerned police authority.

In view of the communication filed today, Court is not inclined to interfere with the writ petition thereby directing the concerned police authority to register FIR.

Writ petition stands dismissed.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioners to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate in pursuit of remedy.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
