Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal is present in Court to day. His presence is noted and dispensed with.
We have considered the materials on record. Report is placed on record. From the report, it appears Public Prosecutor has been appointed and the date has been fixed for recording prosecution evidence on 4th May, 2023.
Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
Trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date with granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
