1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. In terms of the order dated 12th March, 2026 a communication dated 5th April, of Inspector-in-Charge, Amdanga Police Station, Barasat Police District is placed before this Court and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 5th April, 2026 is made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and private respondents.

3. It is disclosed in the communication dated 5th April, 2026 that based on an incident dated 8th

February, 2026 an FIR was registered being Amdanga Police Station Case No. 173/26 dated 28th March, 2026 under certain provision of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. It is also stated in the communication that investigation is going on and statement of the complainant was recorded.

4. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that in view of steps taken by the concerned police authority grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

5. Private respondents are also represented by learned advocate.

6. Hence, no order need be passed on this writ petition save and except directing the concerned police authority to expedite the investigation.

7. Writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
