1. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the private respondent nos. 4 and 5 being the son and daughter-in-law of her mother, are harassing and humiliating the petitioner and her mother, who are staying at the same house.

2. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the mother of the petitioner is aged about 90 years.

3. Learned Advocate for the State has submitted a report. Let the same be kept with the records. Let a copy of the report be handed over to learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner. The report reflects that series of cases are pending inter se the parties.

4. In view of the fact that the mother of the petitioner is 90 years of age and she is subjected to harassment and humiliation, I direct the Officerin-Charge, Taltala Police Station, Kolkata-700014,

to deploy a lady Police personnel who will, in every alternate day, visit the house of the petitioner and assess as to whether the mother of the petitioner is subjected to any harassment or humiliation. If required, a report to such extent be submitted before the Officer-in-Charge of the said Police Station. Such arrangement will continue for a period of four weeks. Within such period of four weeks, if the petitioner's mother approaches the appropriate Authority under the provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the 'said Act'), the Police Authorities would abide by the directions passed by the appropriate Authority under the said Act.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 4792 of 2024 is disposed of.

6. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
