Mr. Anindya Bose Mr. Samrat Ghosh Mr. Mridul Biswas Ms. Raina Das ......For the Petitioner Mr. Vijay Agarwal Mr. Subhasri Chatterjee .....For the State It is the grievance of the petitioner that, pursuant to a work order issued by the Block Development Officer, Suti-I Development Block, he constructed a drain from "Tutul Majhi House to Barun Majhi House at Babu Para at Ahiran G.P. under Suti-I Block".

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to a communication dated 23rd September, 2024, issued by the said Block Development Officer to the Additional District Magistrate (Development), Murshidabad, to demonstrate that the construction of the drain was completed to the satisfaction of the Block Development Officer.

Learned advocate for the petitioner further alleges that, notwithstanding such communication, the petitioner has not been paid his legitimate dues amounting to Rs. 1,49,838/- for completion of the work under the said work order.

Learned advocate appearing for the State seeks time to obtain instructions.

However, I find no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the District Magistrate, Murshidabad is directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner in accordance with law and to ensure payment of his legitimate dues within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

In view of the above, WPA 4665 of 2025 stands disposed of.
