The petitioner complains of alleged inaction by the Nandakumar Police Station.

The petitioner complains that she was thrown out of her house after being severely assaulted. With the intervention of the SDO she returned to her house. She was thereafter once again assaulted and thrown out of the house. She is now residing in her daughter's house.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 17th April, 2022 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Nandakumar Police Station and the same is taken on record.

On the complaint of the petitioner FIR was registered and charge sheet being Nandakumar PS CS No.343/21 dated 29th October, 2021 under sections 341, 323, 325, 506, 34 of the IPC has been filed against the respondent Nos.5, 6 and 7, who are the grandson, daughter-in-law and their associates. The private respondent No.6/daughter-in-law has also filed a complaint against the son-in-law of the

petitioner one Bhagwat Khan. The complaint has been registered as FIR being Nandakumar Police Station Case No.98/22 dated 17th March, 2022 under sections 451, 323, 307, 354D, 379, 376, 511, 506, 509, 34 of the IPC.

Investigation into the aforesaid FIRs be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from date. Nandakumar police shall escort the petitioner back into her house. The private respondents shall be appropriately warned against causing any harm to the petitioner.

Nandakumar Police shall maintain regular vigil on the said premises and ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
