The petitioner complains of illegal and unauthorized construction.

Allegation is that the complaint lodged against such unauthorized construction has not been taken up for consideration till date.

Learned advocate representing the private respondent no. 6 denies the allegation of the petitioner. Learned advocate representing the Howrah Municipal Corporation submits, upon instruction that, necessary steps have been taken in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner.

Documents have been produced before this Court by the learned advocate for the Corporation in support of the submission that steps have been taken in accordance with law to deal with the issue.

I have perused the communication made by the Assistant Engineer, Borough-VII, Howrah Municipal Corporation dated December 7, 2023 Vide Memo No. 1067/AE/B-VII/23-24/.

On a perusal of the same the Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition by directing the Corporation to take necessary steps in the matter in accordance with law.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

The communication dated December 7, 2023 be retained with the records.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
