The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick Mr. Pradip Pal .... For appellant Mr. N.C. Bihani Mrs. Papiya Banerjee Bihani Mr. Soumyajit Ghosh .... For State Mr. Mallick, learned advocate appears on behalf of appellant, who was writ petitioner and had moved Court alleging police inaction.

We have perused impugned order dated 4th January, 2021. Mr. Mallick hands up copy of undated letter from his client's learned advocate in the civil Court, which he says, was received today. The letter carries information that the civil Court has intervened in the matter.

Mr. Bihani, learned advocate appears on behalf of State and submits, pursuant to moving of the writ petition, the police authorities have taken steps and there

is a report prepared by them. He submits further, chargesheet has been submitted in the case. Considering submissions recorded above, we find there is nothing left for adjudication in the application and appeal. We rely on submissions made by State that the police have initiated case and filed charge-sheet. There should not then be any untoward incident. Appellant should not be apprehensive.

The application and the appeal are disposed of. (Arindam Sinha, J.) (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
