The petitioner claims 18 years service benefit to be granted to him, in accordance with ROPA, 2009. For this, he has given a written representation to the respondent authorities, that is, dated January 10,2020.
Mr. Mukherjee, learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, submits that the petitioner would be entitled to the benefit as claimed by him as per ROPA, 2009.
Considering the submissions and the records, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction upon the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Howrah/respondent no. 2 to consider and dispose of the said representation of the
writ petitioner dated January 10, 2020 by dint of a reasoned order.
In doing so, the said respondent shall grant an opportunity of hearing to the writ petitioner and also consider relevant documents for proper disposal of the prayer of the writ petitioner. The exercise as above shall be conducted by the said respondent as expeditiously as possible but not later than a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
Since no affidavit has been called for, the contentions and allegations made in the writ petition, are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
This writ petition being WPA No. 3630 of 2020 is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
