The petitioner alleges that the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Ltd. authorities have failed and neglected to remove certain unutilized electric equipments/cables etc. which were lying at the land of the petitioner.

Learned advocate for the CESC Ltd. submits that shifting of the electric connection had been effected upon direction of this court. However, admittedly some electrical equipments (brackets, cables etc.) are still lying unutilized in the land in question. Whenever CESC Ltd. attempted to remove the same, some hooligans from the locality had resisted.

Under such circumstances the writ petition is disposed of with the direction upon the CESC Ltd. to remove such electrical equipments lying in a wasted condition in the land of the petitioner. It is made clear that the removal process shall be completed within a month from the date of communication of this order. If necessary, when the CESC authorities proceed to carry out the process of removal of such articles, an intimation to the local police station shall be given and if the CESC authorities face any resistance, they are at liberty to seek the help from the local police station. The writ petition is disposed of.
