Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that initial medical report from the government hospital does not disclose grievous nature of injury. However, the subsequent one claims to be so.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure as also to the injury report.

In answer to a query of the Court, he submits that the police submitted charge sheet.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the nature of injury suffered by the victim and the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, we are unable to grant

anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1222 of 2022 is dismissed.
