The father of the petitioner was a Head Teacher of Mandartala Adibasi Free Primary School, a school under Ausgram-I Circle of Purba Bardhaman District Primary School Council, who died-in-harness on April 28, 2021. The petitioner being the dependent son has applied for compassionate appointment; his prayer for such appointment is pending consideration before the Council.

The Chairman of the said Council, the respondent no. 5 herein, is directed to consider the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a

period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

In the event if it is found that the petitioner is eligible for such appointment, the Council shall take forward steps.

W.P.A. 4668 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
