CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No: CAN 5141 of 2020) and CAN 2 of 2020 (Old No: CAN 5142 of 2020) are applications for expeditious disposal of the main writ petition.

It appears from the records that an innocuous prayer has been made for a direction upon the SDO/ Maintenance Tribunal under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 to dispose of an application under Section 11 of the said Act of 2007 seeking enforcement of an order dated 28th June 2019 passed by the Tribunal.

Since all the parties shall be heard before any measures are adopted by the Tribunal under Section 11, the writ petition is disposed of directing the SDO, Baruipur, South 24-Parganas and the Presiding Officer of the Maintenance Tribunal under the aforesaid Act to

dispose of the writ petitioners' applications under Section 11 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order mandatorily and positively.

The writ petitioners shall serve copy of this order upon the private respondents and the Tribunal. In view of the disposal of the writ petition, connected applications are also disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
