Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since July 29, 2021. The police filed charge sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that there are statements recorded under Sections 161 and 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code implicating the petitioner in the murder of the victim. He submits that the murdered weapon was seized from the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (DB) 717 of 2022 is dismissed.
