By consent of the parties, the appeal and the application are taken up together for hearing. The appellant was the Pradhan of the concerned Panchayet. Pursuant to disqualification proceedings, he was removed as Pradhan. He challenged the same by way of filing WPA No.8855 of 2020. When the matter was moved before the learned Single Judge on February 4, 2021, the prayer for interim order was refused and direction for filing of affidavits was given. The order dated February 4, 2021 is under challenge in the present appeal.

Mr. Bari, learned Advocate appearing for the appellant submits that more than a year has gone by since the impugned order was passed. At this juncture, the appellant only prays that the learned

Judge be requested to dispose of the writ petition expeditiously.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of this appeal and the connected application by requesting the learned Single Judge having determination in the matter to dispose of the writ petition as soon as the business of the Court may permit.

Since we have not called for affidavits, the allegations in the stay petition are deemed not to be admitted by the respondents.

The appeal being MAT 220 of 2021 along with IA CAN 1 of 2021 are, accordingly, disposed of.
