Mr. Probal Sarkar ...for the petitioner Mr. Kanak Kiran Bandyopadhyay ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner objects to the electricity connection effected in favour of respondent no.7 at premises no.24, Radhakrishna Khan Lane, Khagra, Berhampore, District - Murshidabad.

It is submitted that respondent no.7 has got the electricity connection bereft of any proprietary right in respect of the relevant property. It is, however, not in dispute that respondent no.7 is in the settled position of the property.

In that view of the matter, the action on the part of respondent no.6 in giving electricity connection to respondent no.7 need not be interfered with since a mere electricity connection does not confer any right, title or interest over a property.

Accordingly, WPA 4722 of 2025 is dismissed.
